An Act to amend the Criminal Code (criminal rate of interest)

This enactment amends the Criminal Code by exempting people through the application of part 347 of the Act in respect of agreements for tiny, short-term loans. The exemption pertains to individuals that are certified or perhaps authorized to come into such agreements by designated provinces which have legislative measures that protect recipients of pay day loans and that specify a limit from the cost that is total of loans.

Her Majesty, by along with the consent and advice associated with the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts the following:
